Business owners, area signage companies, and anyone interested in seeing examples of unique, eye-catching and size-appropriate business signage is invited to a free presentation on business signage, “September Signs, Snacks and Suds,” hosted by the Jefferson Matters: Main Street design committee.
“September Signs, Snacks and Suds” will be held Monday, Sept. 11, at the Sierra Theatre Business Centre. A social time with snacks and suds provided by the design committee and Hamilton Redi-Mix will start at 5:15 pm, with a presentation by Main Street Iowa design consultant Tim Reinders starting at 5:45. The program will last about an hour.
Reinders has traveled throughout Iowa and attended many national workshops on this topic. He will share ideas in a PowerPoint® presentation and discussion of the do’s and don’ts of storefront signage, including blade signs and posted store hours.
“As we near the completion of Jefferson’s downtown rehabilitation effort with 13 of our buildings, this is a timely topic as decisions for signage are made. Many other businesses may be looking for a fresh look. This is a great opportunity for gathering ideas. Local and area signage companies are especially invited to attend,” said a design committee spokesperson.
Business owners throughout the community and county are also invited to attend.
There is no RSVP needed for this event. This is one of the many Business After Hours events hosted by Jefferson Matters: Main Street.
